About Bingely Web

Bingely Web is an independent, unofficial browser extension built by an individual developer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any streaming service or platform. All trademarks, service marks, and trade names referenced are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

How it works

Bingely Web reads the page structure (DOM) of a supported streaming platform's own web player, running entirely inside the browser tab you are already watching, to find and click the platform's own "Skip" button on your behalf. It never reads, records, or transmits any video content, subtitles, or viewing history. If a platform doesn't show a skip button for a given moment, Bingely Web won't skip anything — this is a limitation of what the streaming platform exposes, not a bug, and it can vary title by title even within the same supported service.

Compatibility

Streaming platforms supported today Crunchyroll, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Apple TV+ (more may be added over time).

Does not work with the native mobile or TV apps of these platforms, or any streaming platform not listed above.

Data stored locally, on your own device

Optional sign-in (currently not available to users)

Bingely Web includes the technical foundation for an optional Google Sign-In, intended for a possible future premium tier. As of this policy's last update, this sign-in feature is not exposed in the extension's interface and cannot be used by anyone — it exists in the code but is inactive. This section is published in advance so the policy stays accurate the moment it is turned on, per Chrome Web Store policy.

When and if this feature is activated, signing in would work as follows: you would authorize Bingely Web via Google's own sign-in flow (Chrome's built-in chrome.identity API — no password is ever seen, collected, or stored by the extension). That authorization would be exchanged for a session with Firebase Authentication, a Google Cloud service, under a project dedicated solely to Bingely Web. The only information retained would be:

This information would be used exclusively to determine access to premium features, and would never be sold, rented, or shared with any third party for advertising or any other purpose. You would be able to sign out at any time, which removes the locally cached session immediately.

What we do not collect

Donations

The extension includes an optional link to a third-party donation page (Ko-fi). Bingely Web itself never handles, sees, or stores any payment information — that's entirely between you and Ko-fi's own service, governed by their own privacy policy.

Children

Bingely Web is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the extension evolves — most notably, when/if the optional sign-in feature described above is actually activated. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
